Tuesday, November 27th is #givingtuesday, a day for donating to your favorite charities.   The Different Needz Foundation continues to be a valuable resource for the special needs community. The Foundation has set a #givingtuesday goal of $5,000.00 to send 10 children to camp Summer 2019.  Please donate to the Foundation on #givingtuesday and help us reach our goal.

The Foundation has awarded the 2018 grants.

May 24th, 2018

After reviewing a record number of applications, the Different Needz Foundation Board of Trustees has made its decisions on all grant awards.  On May 24, 2018, letters were mailed notifying all applicants of the Board’s decision.  Those who received grants will be contacted by a Board Member shortly to discuss the purchase and delivery of the awarded item.

The 2018 grant application period is now closed.  Thank you to everyone who submitted an application.  We received a record number of applications.  The Foundation will notify applicants by mail only as to its decision to award a grant.  Notifications will be sent in the month of May 2018.

The Different Needz Foundation 2018 individual and organization grant applications are now available.  Click on the “Grant” heading for directions and to submit an application.



2018 Grant Applications

January 3rd, 2018

Grant Applications will be available on January 8, 2018.

Grant awards are NOT based on first come first served basis.  All properly submitted grant applications will be considered by the Board.

The Foundation only awards grants once a year.  Grant applications will not be made available prior to their posting on this site.

The Foundation awards grants to individuals living in and organizations located in the United States.  Those living or located outside the United States are not eligible.

Please read our About Us page for our definition of “developmental disability”.


9th Annual Luke Jordan Memorial Golf Outing

The 9th Annual Luke Jordan Memorial Golf Outing will be held on September 8, 2017 at the Chagrin Valley Country Club.

At the Dinner an Silent Auction, the Foundation will be honoring Michael Friedman with the inaugural Heart of the Community Award for his contributions to the special needs community.

We look forward to seeing you there for a great day of golf, food and fundraising.

2017 Grant Decision Letters

May 3rd, 2017

On May 3, 2017, all 2017 grant decision letters have been mailed to all applicants. All applicants who have been awarded a grant will be contacted by a Board Member in the upcoming weeks. All decisions are final. 2018 Grant applications will be made available in January 2018.

2017 Grant Application Period is Now Closed

February 16th, 2017

The 2017 grant application period is now closed.

The Foundation will not verify receipt of an application or provide an application status.  All applicants will receive notice as to the Foundation’s decision via ordinary mail by May 2017.

The Foundation only awards grants once a year.  Grant applications will be available starting January 2018.
